Jesus continued:
So (the manager) called in each one of his master’s debtors. He asked the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ ‘Nine hundred gallons of olive oil,’ he replied. The manager told him, ‘Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred and fifty.’ Luke 16:5-6
Today you are invited to consider the action of the manager. How do you react to what he did? How do you feel about the fact that he made the debtor change the bill and did not do so himself? What does this say about the manager? What does it say about the debtor? What about those in your circles who may behave in the same way, implicating others in their wrong-doings or going along with actions that are illegal? What is God saying to you and those around you today? Is there anything in your life that may be seen in the same way in God’s eyes? How do you respond?
May God bless you with wisdom and honesty today in any dealings you may have with others that may be open to corruption.
