You are Invited

In His conversation with the rich young ruler, Jesus was saddened at the young man’s reluctance to give up his wealth to follow Jesus. Jesus said

How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God. Indeed it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a need than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God. Luke 18:24-25

Today you are invited to consider how these words apply to you. Whether you are rich or poor, how does your financial status influence your dependence on God? How does it influence the way you live? Your generosity, your security, your happiness? What is God saying to you today through these words? How will you respond?

May God bless you with a need for dependence on Him today that you may draw closer to Him each moment.
