Jesus told the parable of the story of the servants who were given their master’s money. One invested it with ten-fold returns; one with five-fold returns and the final one with no returns at all because he tucked it away as he was afraid of the master. None of them wanted the master promoted because he was known as a hard man. The master took away the single coin from the one who did not invest and gave it to the servant who made a good return. Jesus ended His story by saying

I tell you that to everyone who has more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away. … Luke 19:26

Today you are invited to consider these words which are not easy to understand. What is Jesus saying to you through them at this time? How do you react to them? Do you think they are fair? Why/why not? Speak to Jesus about any questions you may have and ask Him to explain these words to you so you have greater understanding of them.

May God bless you today as you use what He has given you for His glory.
