Jesus told another parable, about a vineyard owner whose tenants beat his messengers and killed his son. The people did not like His suggestion that the owner would kill the tenants. Jesus looked directly at them and asked

…What is the meaning of that which is written: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed. Luke 20:17-18

Today you are invited to consider how you would have answered Jesus. Who are the builders? Who or what is the cornerstone? Who are those who fall on the stone and how are they broken? Why are those on whom the stone falls crushed? Ask Jesus if you are not sure of the meaning of these verses. Make a note of His reply.
