Jesus watched people as they put their offerings into the collection jars in the temple. When a poor widow put in her two coins, He said

Truly, I tell you, … this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on. Luke 21:3-4

Today you are invited to consider how easy or difficult it is for you to be generous. Do you give out of your wealth or your poverty? What is wealth? What is poverty? Do you see yourself as wealthy or poor? What makes you answer in this way? How important is it for you to give to God and to other people out of what you do have? What are your biggest challenges in this regard? Speak to Jesus about your concerns and your giving. What does He respond?

May God bless you with a generous heart and assurance that He will provide for you always as you follow Him.
