This is being written several weeks ahead of when you will read it, for personal reasons. The future is uncertain at this point in time. Believer, hear the words of Jesus for you. Unbeliever, take note. Jesus can and will help you in these uncertain days.

Jesus said

Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and ‘the time is near.’ Do not follow them. When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away. Luke 21:8-9

Today you are invited to consider the ‘do nots’ that Jesus mentions in these verses. Do not follow them. Do be frightened. Listen as He says them to you personally. If there are people you ‘follow’ whom you are not sure about, ask for God’s gift of discernment. If there are things that frighten you, ask for God’s peace. Do not go through the rest of your life alone, but take hold of the hand of Jesus Christ who has promised He will never leave you and walk forward bravely. Share this with others, who may be on the wrong path or frightened too.
