The next time we hear the voice of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke is after the resurrection when He joins the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. He asks them:

What are you discussing together as you walk along? Luke 24:17

Today you are invited to consider the questions Jesus asks us which help us to clarify our thoughts. Do you hear them? Could it be He is using the voice of a friend or colleague to ask you a question that makes you think? What have you been asked recently about an issue that is worrying you, or that you feel passionate about? What part did God play in your answer? Spend some time with God, thinking especially about the things that are of concern in your life, and listen for His questions. What is He asking you – and how do His questions clarify your thoughts?
