From this time many of His disciples turned back and no longer followed Him.  ‘You do not want to leave too, do you?’ Jesus asked the Twelve. John 6:66-67

Today you are invited to consider how you respond when Jesus asks you to do something that is difficult.  What happens if you try to ignore His request – to you, to your relationship with others and with God Himself?  How do you feel inside when you delay doing what He is asking?  What happens when you go ahead and follow His command?  What gives you the courage to do so?  How do you feel when you are in the middle of such a task and the going is rough?  How do you feel when you look back and see what you have accomplished with God’s help?  What is Jesus asking you to do today that looks impossible from where you are standing now?  How will you respond? Speak to God about your fears, concerns, doubts – and listen for His reply in the quiet, small Voice that whispers into your heart.
