You are Invited

Jesus says:

So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  Luke 11:9

Today you are invited to consider times when this has happened for you.  You have asked God and He has responded.  But also consider times when it has not happened for you.  What was your reaction to both situations?  Can you see, looking back now, why God did not answer your prayer in the way you asked?  Has He, perhaps, answered you in a different, better way?  What would have happened (or not have happened) if He had given you the answer you hoped for?  How has your life changed through the prayers you have prayed for so long?  If there has been no answer, spend time today asking God how He would like you to pray – and then ask Him for the grace to recognise and be grateful for His response.  If God has answered, praise Him for His response and the fact that He loves you so much He hears the words you pray.

May God bless you as you spend time in prayer with Him today.

About Mandy Hackland

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I have moved to the coast and am enjoying the green spaces and beautiful vistas that surround me, reminding me of God's grace every day.
