Lord, what can I look forward to now?  You are the only hope I have.  Psalm 39:7

Today you are invited to consider whether this is true of you.  Is God the only hope you have?  What else is there in your life in which you place your hope?  How much can you trust these other hope-providers?  What happens when they let you down?  How much can you trust God?  Think back and consider whether He has ever let you down?  There may be times when life did not turn out how you had hoped it would.  Where was God in these times?  Ask Him today where He was in times when you were disappointed or felt rejected or ignored by Him.  Listen to His response.  Expect to hear Him speak to you.  What is He saying to you today?
