Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!  Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.’  And God granted his request.   1 Chronicles 4:10

Today you are invited to spend some time with this verse, praying it through for yourself.  What does it mean to you?  What specific blessing/s would you ask from God today?  How willing are you to enter new ‘territory’ for God, whatever that may mean in your life.  What harm do you fear that is holding you back from being fully committed to serving God – no matter what He asks you to do?  Spend time with Him today and talk to Him about any concerns you may have in praying this life-changing prayer.  Then take a step in faith and pray it whole-heartedly as you once again commit yourself to God.

May God bless you with a richer sense of trust today as you pray Jabez’ prayer for yourself.
