He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Micah 4:3
Today you are invited to consider what this would mean to the world when it happens. There are times when we feel this day is far away in the future. But how does it describe your world? How does it describe the relationships you have, the situations you find yourself in, the challenges that face you? Where do you need swords to be hammered into ploughshares and spears into pruning hooks? What axes do you need to bury? What arguments run around in your mind when you lie down to sleep? Where can God help you to be a peacemaker in your life? How can He help to settle disputes that are part of your life at the moment? If you are at peace with everyone around you, give thanks to God and pray for those who are not; if you have disputes and unsettled relationships, ask God to help you take the first step towards making peace.
May God bless you as you open yourself to be a channel of His peace today.
