Hear, oh Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Deuteronomy 6:4
Today you are invited to consider these words. Read them again. Read them out loud – and then again aloud as loudly as you dare (or even more loudly than you dare). Listen to them ringing down the ages! What do they say to you? How strongly do you believe them? What, if anything, could be seen in your life as another god, in competition to the one God? What (or who) do you put before God from time to time – or always? What place does God have in your heart? Talk to Him today. Tell Him how you feel. What does He reply? Read aloud these words again:
Hear, oh Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
May God bless you as you put Him first in your life today.
