Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Nehemiah 1:11
Today you are invited to consider what is the prayer of your heart. What is going on in your life or in the world that produces the strongest emotion in you? What makes you cry out to God? What is bringing your community to its knees? How passionate are you about praying for these matters? Pause a while. Consider how you are praying. How much time are you giving God to reply to you? How often do you seek His answers by stopping to look for evidence of His hand in action? Sit still for a moment. Stop praying. What is God saying to you in the silence? Is He re-directing the focus of your prayer, showing you what He is doing, asking you to wait, trusting Him in faith? Perhaps He is even telling you to take action. Give God a chance to speak to you today as you sit quietly in His presence.
May God bless you as you listen to Him today, with an indication that He hears your prayer.
