Today you are invited to consider what God is saying to you through these words.  How do they make you feel?  What do they say about the relationship you have or have had with your parents?  Have they been a struggle – or do you have no problem in following them?  What do you want to say to God about this proverb?  What would you like to say to your parents?  If your parents are no longer living, how do you feel about writing a letter expressing your thoughts and feelings to them in this regard?  What is God saying to you?
