The Lord said to Moses, ‘Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.’ Exodus 34:27
Today you are invited to consider how you remember what God says to you. How much time do you spend recording His words to you in writing? How well do you remember what He said last week, last month, last year? Perhaps you journal often and so you have a written record – but perhaps you do not and so God’s personal words to you slip past you into a mist of forgetfulness. Today, as you talk to God, make a note of what He says to you. Then do the same tomorrow and for the next week. At the end of a week, think back without reading, and try to recall what specifically He said to you. Then check in your written notes. How accurate were your memories? Spending a couple of moments each day making brief notes will enrich your walk with God in ways you cannot imagine.
May God bless you as you record His words to you today and in the days ahead.
