You are Invited

But Ruth replied, ‘Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you.  Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.  Your people will be my people and your God my God.  Ruth 1:16

Today you are invited to consider loyalty.  Your loyalty to family and friends, and their loyalty to you.  How important is loyalty to you?  How far will loyalty take you in your relationships?  What happens inside you when you are betrayed?  How do you respond?  Who has betrayed you whom you find it hard to forgive?  Bring the issue of loyalty, betrayal, and forgiveness before the Lord today.  What do you want to say to Him about these things?  How does He reply?

May God bless you with a sense of loyalty amongst all those with whom you have relationships – and may you be a loyal friend.

About Mandy Hackland

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I have moved to the coast and am enjoying the green spaces and beautiful vistas that surround me, reminding me of God's grace every day.
