Today you are invited to consider what these words mean to you?  How do they colour the current political climate in your homeland?  What do you feel about their significance?  Do they give you hope – or fill you with despair?  Why do you feel this way?  Spend some time today speaking to God about this verse – whether for your own government, or those who are in authority over you and who ‘govern’ your life.  What will you say to God?  And what does He reply to you?
