But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, “I have bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.” Luke 14:18
Today you are invited to consider what excuses you are using. How are you using them? Do you find excuses to avoid helping others, doing some task you have been requested to do, beginning a study programme? Do you use them to avoid serving God in some way? What is He asking you to do that you would rather not undertake? What would help you to accept such a commission – from God, from others, or even from yourself – something you feel you should do? Speak to God about these things. Ask Him to help you – and then look for open doors as you go forward.
May God bless you as you set aside any excuses you may be using and begin the tasks He asks you to do.
