… and now I bring the firstfruits of the soil that you, Lord, have given me. Deuteronomy 26:10
Today you are invited to consider what your firstfruits are. It may well be that they are not ‘of the soil’, but they will be the result of the work of your hands, whatever that work may be. How do you give such harvest to God? Can you see one patient without charge, or give two hours of your expertise in a school struggling to find teachers? Are you able to visit a sick person you don’t know in a hospital, for the love of Jesus? What does it mean to you to do so? If this is a new idea for you, how do you feel about giving the first of your work to God? How will you respond to this verse today?
May God bless you as you bring the firstfruits of the soil to Him today, willingly, in worship.
