Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.  He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?'” Genesis 3:1

Today you are invited to consider how this verse applies to you.  Note the craftiness of the serpent.  He did not ask if they were not allowed to eat from a specific tree but from ‘any tree’.  What temptation do you face on a daily basis?  How does the conversation go in your mind as you consider whether to give in to that temptation or not?  What is God saying to you about it?  God’s instructions were clear. ‘You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil …’ How clear are His instructions to you in regard to the temptation you face which you find so hard to resist?  Speak to God about these things and listen for His reply.  Look at 1 Corinthians 10:13.  How do these words speak to you?

May God bless you with the strength and determination you need to resist temptation today.
