You are Invited

(Elijah) went a day’s journey into the wilderness.  He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord.” … 1 Kings 19:4

Today you are invited to consider what you do and where you go when life gets too much for you.  Who do you speak to?  How do you react? Where do you go?  Is this place a place where you can hide from the world so no one can find you and you can be miserable, or is it a place of sanctuary where you can find healing?  Who helps you there? How do you speak to God there?  Are you in need of such a place now? Do you want to hide away and sulk or do you want to heal?  Speak to God about these things.  What does He reply?  What action will you take as a result?

May God bless you with His healing whenever life gets too much for you, and His strength to enable you to cope.
