If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. Proverbs 25:21
Today you are invited to consider who needs food and drink from you. How often do you see people on the street who are hungry or thirsty? How do you perceive these people? Do you see them as brothers and sisters or are they strangers to you? How do you feel when you see them? Are you willing to give them something to eat or something to drink? If we are commanded to feed our enemies, how much more does God want us to feed those who are unable to feed themselves, often through circumstances they cannot avoid? Who does God want you to help today? How will you help them? And what about tomorrow …?
May God bless you as you see people with new discernment today and reach out a hand to help them in some way.
