And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

The child Jesus grew to be a man. As He followed God’s call on His life, which He knew was His purpose for being on earth, this moment occurred after His baptism. Today you are invited to consider where God may say these words to you. What are you doing that pleases Him? How are you following His call on your own life? Where do you feel you are struggling – and where are you succeeding? Listen to God today – really listen. Don’t dismiss the idea of Him saying these words to you in your struggles or fear of failure, but listen with your ears, your mind, your heart – and even your eyes – and hear His voice as He whispers His love to you. Just believe in Him and rest assured that when you do so he is “well pleased”.
