Jesus answered: “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.” John 21:22

Today you are invited to consider how you feel about the spiritual life and accomplishments of others. Do you experience envy or admiration or do you feel diminished when you see someone succeed in matters of faith? Do you wish you could be more like them? Do you long for a ministry of your own? How often do you compare your own calling with others and feel dissatisfied? In this verse, Jesus is talking to Peter and He says to him: “…You must follow me.” What is Jesus saying to you today? How will you respond?

May God bless you with a clear calling and the awareness of His grace and His approval as you follow Him, no matter what anyone else is doing around you.
