John the Baptist said:

“The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. ...” John 3:29

Today you are invited to consider how you feel when you hear the bridegroom’s voice. (John is referring to Jesus here – and the Bride is the Church which comprises all who follow Jesus). Does Jesus’ voice fill you with concern – or with joy? Are you far away from Him or are you following Him? Do you know He loves you more than you can ever imagine? How do you feel about trusting Him and letting Him be your Friend, your Lord and your Saviour? Open your heart to Him today, however you may feel about Him and invite Him to show you how He loves you as He longs to do. What do you want to say to Him in response?
