“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” John 4:11-12

Today you are invited to consider how you respond when you become aware God is asking you to do something that seems impossible. Do you reject the idea as crazy? Do you ask questions, like this woman did? Do you think about it and then do it, or do you follow without hesitation, trusting in God’s willingness and ability to do spectacular things through you? Why do you react in the way you do? What has happened in the past to make you doubt or trust Jesus? Think about it. Is it Jesus you doubt  – or your own ability? Ask Him to help you to trust Him in all things. Spend time with Him today and let Him encourage you and grow your faith in Him.
