“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” John 5:7

The invalid does not reply to Jesus. Is this a reason – or an excuse? Today you are invited to consider whether any reluctance you may have to follow Jesus is caused by a reason – or an excuse. What is holding you back? How can you take action to side-step any delays in your response to Him? Who can help you? Ask God if you don’t know – and ask Him to show you the way. There may be something you can do you have not yet thought about.
