Jesus said to them, ‘Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink …’  John 6:53-55

Today you are invited to consider these difficult words. How would you explain them to someone who was questioning your belief and the practice of Holy Communion? What do you understand them to mean? Spend some time with Jesus today asking Him to clarify your understanding so that anyone who does question you may receive an answer that draws them to Jesus for themselves.
