Recently I felt God asking me to write down some Words from the Psalms to pass on to members of a group I have been attending for the last twenty years. People come and go, but there is a faithful core, and I believe God wanted to bless these folks. 

But as I copied down the Scriptures to which He led me – by making them stand out from the page – I felt Him saying to me:

“No, write them as if I am saying them directly to the person who is holding the Words in their hand.”

And so I did.

And, as I was praying about what to write for today’s post, I heard God again.

“Share these Words with your readers. For I love them too.”

So here they are:

“I do not forsake those who seek Me. I hear and accept your prayers. I will keep the needy safe and protect them forever. I will show you the path of life. I will fill you with joy in My presence. Do not fear any evil for I am with you. I am your God for ever and ever. Your times are in My hands. By day, I direct My love to you; by night My song is with you. I will be your Guide even to the end. I am your Help. I am the One who sustains you. You are Mine and I am yours. My love for you is better than life. It stands firm forever. It never fails. I am gracious and compassionate. I am your Provider, your loving God. You are safe with Me. I take great delight in you for you belong to Me.”

May these words sing in your heart this day and throughout the year ahead.
