After He had said this, He went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.” His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.” John 11:11-12

The disciples really didn’t understand what Jesus was saying. Today you are invited to consider these words in the light of your own life. What is Jesus saying to you that you don’t understand? What does not make sense in your life at the moment? What have you said to Jesus about it? Where do you need clarity? Take some time today to sit quietly alone with Jesus and speak to Him about anything that puzzles you. Then listen for his reply. He may respond in the silence of the moment, but He may answer you in the rush and busy-ness of your day. Listen.
