You are Invited

Anyone who welecomes you welcomes Me, and anyone who welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me.  Matthew 10:40

Today you are invited to consider how welcoming you are, especially in your Church environment.  What kind of welcome do you give to strangers in your Church?  If you put yourself in the stranger’s shoes would you feel welcomed?  How does your act of welcome change if you put Jesus in the stranger’s shoes?  What would you say, do, offer differently?  How can you become more welcoming as a church where all are welcome in the Name of Jesus Christ?

May God bless you as you open your doors to the stranger as a Church today and in the days to come.

About Mandy Hackland

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I have moved to the coast and am enjoying the green spaces and beautiful vistas that surround me, reminding me of God's grace every day.

Mandy, I am leading our Adult SS tomorrow using your Shocked into Change week of study in Disciplines 2016. You have given us much to consider and discuss and the topic is so relevant with our world situation today. Thank you! Lindy in McCormick SC USA

    • Thank you so much for letting me know Lindy. I have been praying the prayer of Jabez this year and God is continually astounding me the way He is enlarging my territory. The fact that He has inspired you to use something I have written on the other side of the world is both humbling and exciting. Slowly, slowly my writing is reaching further afield. To God be the glory!
