You are Invited

(Jesus) told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” “I have no husband,” she replied. John 4:17

Today you are invited to consider how honest you are with God. Even though the woman did not understand she still gave a true answer, for Jesus says in v 18 that she is correct as the man she has is not her husband. She could have lied. But she did not – even though she did not realise Jesus already knew. How do you respond to God when the truth will make you feel uncomfortable? Speak to Him about the parts of your life you would rather remain hidden from Him. What does He say to you today?

May God bless you with the desire to be honest in your discussion with Him today about dark parts of your life  – and may such discussion result in repentance and forgiveness.
