Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee … and a great crowd of people followed Him because they saw the signs He had performed by healing the sick. John 6:1-2
Today you are invited to consider what you would say to those who follow Jesus for the excitement and spectacle His miracles produce; for the spiritual highs of exalted worship; for the thrill of being part of the action. How does this affect their view of Jesus if they only look for the good things, and ignore the times when He asks them to take action which makes them uncomfortable or to give up something they love for the benefit of someone else? How does it affect your relationship with Jesus when you do the same? What do you want to say to Him about these things today – and how does He reply?
May God bless you with an unspectacular day when He walks closely with you through the ordinary today.
What an awesome and necessary blessing: “May God bless you with an unspectacular day when He walks closely with you through the ordinary today.”
Thanks!
