Oh, help!

Sometimes, with the best will in the world, technology has its way! For those of you who follow the ‘You are Invited’ posts, you will realise that for two days this week there was nothing. Then two posts came on the same day, within seconds of each other, then the next two came at the right time but in the wrong order.

Oh, dear. For those of you who know me, you may be wondering whether age is catching up on me. Is that it? Nope.

Could it be a blond moment? Nope. (I have fairly dark hair, turning lighter as it attains the ‘crown of splendour’ (Proverbs 16:31) and has a bit more grey every day).

Is it just absent-mindedness caused by a highly intelligent mind? Nope. ‘Fraid not.

So what happened? Why did it all get mixed up.

It was a shortage of time – and busyness – and putting other things first. I have a case of writer’s block at the moment (which is why I am rambling on – any writing feels good, even if it is nonsense). I was worrying about what to write for today’s post and couldn’t think and so was distracted. I am actually writing this post 3 hours before it is published – very unusual for me. I am normally more organised.

But life is happening. Nothing enormously life changing but every day is full of the unexpected and so, as I sit down on this Friday morning to write this post and next week’s ‘You are Invited ‘ posts, I take a deep breath and look up for inspiration. To see the sun painting the wall in my room a deep gold as it rises for a new day.

What will today hold? I cannot say. I know better than that, for God delights me with the unexpected on a regular basis. But what I can say is that I have learned a lesson already today.

I must never stress about the Friday post – for God will always give me something to write about. (Sorry for the mix up this week – but if it hadn’t happened, this post may have been blank!) You see!
