At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realise it was Jesus. He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking He was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.” John 20:14-15

Today you are invited to consider times when Jesus has been in a difficult situation with you, yet it was only in hindsight that you realised His role in the event. Where can you see His role in your life at present? Where do you feel you are struggling to cope alone? Ask Him where He is in this situation that troubles you. Ask Him to show you how He is unfolding events, present with you at all times. What will you say to Him – and how will you respond?
