You are Invited

Jesus talks about the importance of considering others and not pushing ourselves to the front. He instructs us:

When you are invited (to a feast) take the lowest place so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honoured in the presence of all the other guests. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Luke 14:10-11

Today you are invited to consider your self-esteem. How do you see yourself? How do you think others see you? How does God see you? Ask God to show you how He sees you. How does His picture compare with your own? Who do you know who struggles with their self-esteem? How can you encourage them today? Who do you know who inflates their own importance? Pray for them that they may realise what they are doing and begin to consider others before themselves.

May God bless you with His picture of you today – and may you receive it with an open mind. Remember He loves you.
