Jesus said

The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. Luke 17:22

Today you are invited to consider these words. Jesus was telling His disciples that a day would come when they would not see Him. How do you feel about knowing someone you love is going to leave and travel far away to a place where you cannot go? What do you say to them? What do you do together? What do you do for them? How will you keep in touch? Jesus was speaking about His physical presence, but He has promised He will be with you always. What difference does that make to your farewells? How can He help you today if you are living with separation from those you love? Listen.

May God comfort and bless you in the case of any separation which is painful, whatever it may be, today.
