You are Invited

Jesus told the seventy-two what to do when they entered a house:

‘When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house’ If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you.’ Luke 10:5-6

Today you are invited to consider how you pass on God’s peace to other people. How often do you say Peace be with you? Why do/don’t you say it? What does peace mean to you? How do you feel about passing peace forward as a gift people can receive or reject? Who do you know who needs peace today? How can you pray for them? When people say these words to you do you smile and nod, or do you thank them for the precious gift that the Peace of Jesus is to those who will accept it? What is God saying to you about this today? How will it change the way you think about, give and receive His peace?

May God bless you with people who need His peace today so that you may pass it on to them, and with the gift of His peace from others and from God Himself for you.
