Jesus continued:
But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, ‘even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’ I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town. Luke 10:10-12
Today you are invited to remember and to consider. Remember the seventy two were on the Lord’s business, not just visiting casually. Consider how you feel and react when you enter a place where you are not welcomed. Does it make a difference to you if you are meeting with so-called friends and they do not welcome you, or if you are going to give a talk, or teach a lesson, or run a meeting? Which occasion hurts more? How do you deal with the situation? How does Jesus help you when such times occur? Speak to Him about these things and ask Him for the wisdom to react/respond appropriately in the most effective way for that time.
May God bless you with wisdom and understanding on such occasions.
