Jesus continued:

Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division… Luke 12:51

Jesus continues to describe the division, father against son, mother against daughter, two against three in one family. Today you are invited to consider how this dynamic has affected your own family. Who believes in Jesus? Who does not? What challenges do these different beliefs produce? How does your family cope with the differences in life-styles? How does it deal with any conflict produced as a result of some folk being followers of Christ and others rejecting Him? Pray for those who believe in Jesus today that they may be gentle witnesses to His love for all family members. Pray for those who do not believe, that they may come to recognise Jesus in their family and turn to follow Him. Ask God how He wants you to pray if you are not sure.

May God bless you and your family today in a new way, that He may be recognised as King, Lord and Saviour by all.
